Come out of the closet!

Posted 8 years ago

Is it right to show lesbian love in a hypocritical society like this one? By being clever about it, this ad only hints at homosexuality and doesn't confirm it. It leaves viewers with a question in mind: "What were the ladies doing in the closet?"

Being considered the first of LGBT themed ads in India, some brands think of this theme as a sensitive one and don't approach it. Fastrack, however, has always been a window into the progressive mindset of today's youth.

  • SUDIP DUTTAPosted 8 years agomusic is great
  • Phaniraj BhattPosted 8 years agoROFL...I don't understand what makes the AD maker think that....if 2 women emerge out of a closet, viewers would relate it to LGBT !?... Even if they consider so...what's the % of viewers who would get wooed by this kind of an AD ?
  • SanthoshKumar ManickamPosted 8 years agoThe music in this advertisement is superb for fast track watches

  • Sumit Chauhan Posted 8 years agoThis ad is deep but I think most of the people can not understand it although the message conveyed in this ad is simple and powerful. According to me the ad is connected to women empowerment somewhere as shown in the ad that they should come out of the closet and move on in life with their sorrow pasts and other problems. Hope this makes some sense.

  • Jimmy JoyPosted 7 years agoOh I liked the ad. Bold indeed. Our society is yet to be open to such ideas but this ad will be welcomed in a metro city not elsewhere. Kudos to Fastrack for being bold. I guess the ad served its purpose of making people to talk about the issue, discussing it, debating it. In the process the ad also made the brand known to all. There is no such thing as bad publicity.

  • Magesh.nPosted 6 years agoI think this ad should be warmly welcomed :) and greeted in the progressive mindset of todays youth to be sensitive but not on a fast lan !
  • MamtaPosted 6 years agoNice
  • dineshPosted 6 years agoyeah the music gives us a nice clue to what is being shown in the video .the kind of gesture made by the girls is all well explaining the situation .its clearly a way of promotion having to do with a legal moral support to some weaklings of the society who does not get much support due to unnatural stance they hold. Its good to see renowned brands are raising voice in their support with their ads.such issues won't be solved out easily .these need revolution on a larger scale as many societies and cultures are not open to such types which look odd to society . It will be good that these lgbt get their rights as society needs this overhaul with changing times because " change is unavoidable "

  • Deborah dohlingPosted 5 years agoGone are the days when lgbt rights were suppressed and hushed up Behind closed doors back then an ad like this would have created a ruckus and even banned but now the youth has progressed and with them the parents the older generation too have come to love and accept the live and let live adage this ad may confuse many but surely it leaves one curious it shows that we need to accept the diversity and just spread love in a way we need to come out of our closed up walls to welcome the ever changing environment around us thumbs up fastrack on addressing a touchy subject with panache
