Mac Vs PC!

Many an ad wars have been waged in the last few years. Few of them caught public attention, but none so more than the Mac vs. PC war that was fought between Microsoft and Apple.

Apple started the war with a simple ad where Justin Long played a smart, chic guy who claims to be a Mac and a nerdy, overweight guy plays a PC.

This ad meant war.

Microsoft came out with an ad in retaliation. The ad took the high road and never compared the two products but showed the diversity in the kind of people who used a PC and claimed to be a PC.

Apple came back with the set of ads resuming the competitive, comparative streak between the two brands. 

This ad war has lost its sheen in the recent years with the onset of smartphones and tablets but the audacity and the creativity behind these ads will never be forgotten.

  • Sumit Chauhan Posted 8 years agoThis ad just look so simple but it is such a powerful ad which compares PC from Mac.If u look the ad more clearly then you can see that the clothes of both the person changes.In the case of PC clothes are changing from funky to gentle on the other hand MAC remain gentle throughout the ad.According to me I think it is about that how PC system changes just by adding few new elements and telling people that this time it is going to be more powerful and amazing.

  • Jimmy JoyPosted 7 years agoWell, life started for many on a PC with windows as its OS. Even today the OS on many computers in schools across India is Windows. Having said that, once you get a feel of IOS you are in a different world altogether. Though PC users are more than Mac but slowly that will change. But With PC rates being cheaper than MAC it's gonna be difficult to have a monopoly for MAC. Apple has also made commendable hardware as compared to Microsoft, and this is eating into comprpetition. About this AD, the message is clear. MAC rules over PC.
